What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Tech 2 position at LOXAHATCHEE CLUB INC?
JOB SUMMARY:
Maintenance and repair of Club buildings and property. Works for, and closely with, the Maintenance Tech 1 on varied projects to maintain the superior condition of The Loxahatchee Club. Repairs and maintains the facilities as directed; possessing the skills required to successfully complete each task to the highest possible standard.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Graduate or Equivalent. Previous Maintenance experience required (minimum 3 years) in Construction/Maintenance or related field with a background and/or knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, power washing and painting.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Responsible for maintaining, repairing and cleaning the interior and exterior physical structures, utility systems and perimeter of all Club buildings.
- Works with other employees or subcontractors engaged in painting, performing structural repairs to masonry, woodwork, and furnishings of buildings; as well as maintaining and repairing building utility systems, electrical wiring, and plumbing systems.
- Assist workers engaged in housekeeping and laundry services.
- Alert the Maintenance Tech 1 as the need to requisition tools, equipment, and supplies, arises.
- Monitor Maintenance / Housekeeping Inventories to Club specifications and standards.
- Responsible for installing, servicing, and repairing various mechanical items, and equipment.
- Performs preventative and routine maintenance tasks.
- Assist with recordkeeping of maintenance related items.
- Must work well as directed with minimal supervision.
- Assists the Maintenance Tech 1 to achieve the goals and objectives of the department.
- Clean and deep clean as needed
- Assist with set up and take down for special events.
- Other tasks as directed by your supervisor.
Qualifications:
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Able to lift up to 80 lbs. floor to waist and overhead without assistance and able to assist other team members in lifting items >80 lbs.
2. Able to stand, walk and work long hours between rest periods.
3. Able to reach, bend, climb, grasp, kneel, push, pull, and twist as needed.
4. Must speak, read and write English in a clear and concise manner.
Must be physically mobile (able to climb a ladder, safely navigate rooftops, scaffolding, etc.).
QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATIONS:
Basic understanding of the operation and safe use of maintenance and housekeeping equipment and supplies.
Must possess a valid Florida Vehicle Operators License.
Must pass a background and drug screen.
The ability to follow instructions, apply common sense and maintain a good attitude are essential functions of this position.
