What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rip Saw Operator position at Loxaco?
Loxaco is a growing millwork shop based in Frostproof, Florida. We manufacture hardwood mouldings and wall paneling for high end residential and commercial construction projects. In simple terms, we take units of lumber and cut them to width on our saws and then shape them into baseboards, crown mouldings, and door casings on our moulders.
We are seeking one person to work in our blank prep area. The boards that go into the moulders are called blanks. The blank prep area takes the rough sawn boards and mills them down to the width and thickness needed to be ran in the moulder. This job would involve handling lumber, feeding lumber into saws and planers, setting up equipment to the job specs, stacking lumber, and organizing stacks of lumber for the upcoming jobs.
No experience is necessary. We'll train the right individual. Forklift experience is a plus. Gang rip saw or planer operation experience is a plus.
This is hard work in a hot environment. Some of the boards we move weigh well over 100 lbs, so if your back is on the fritz, then this isn't the job for you. If you take pride in your work, don't mind hard work, and enjoy working as part of a team, then send an email with your resume to Larz@loxaco.com and tell him why you'd be a good fit. Applications submitted through indeed are not reviewed.
