What You'll Be Doing As a Lead Carpenter
- Leading the construction of custom outdoor living projects, including decks, pergolas, and other high-end carpentry features
- Managing projects from blueprint interpretation through final installation with a strong focus on quality and detail
- Supervising and mentoring a Carpenter Assistant, providing hands-on training, direction, and support throughout each project
- Planning daily job site activities, delegating tasks, and driving productivity to meet timelines
- Cutting, shaping, and assembling materials with precision to deliver exceptional finished products
- Ensuring all work meets company standards, client expectations, and project specifications
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe job site while enforcing safety protocols
- Operating and overseeing the proper use of tools and equipment
- Managing materials, including ordering, handling, and storage to minimize waste and maximize efficiency
- Communicating effectively with team members and leadership to keep projects on track
- Troubleshooting challenges on-site and making real-time decisions to maintain progress and quality
- Developing the skills of the Carpenter Assistant to build a stronger, more capable team
- Contributing to project planning, layout, and execution to deliver outstanding results
- Proven carpentry experience, ideally in outdoor construction, decking, pergolas, or similar projects
- Strong leadership ability with experience supervising or mentoring others
- Deep understanding of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to lead confidently on job sites

The Lead Carpenter position at Lowney's Landscaping involves a variety of physically demanding tasks. The ideal candidate should be able to meet the following physical demands:
