Job Duties
:
Under supervision of the Job Captain, Project Architect, Senior Technical Designer, or Project Manager: Prepare architectural design documents, such as Entitlement Documents to obtain approval from an appropriate government agency to develop or renovate a building or land for specific use, Design Development Documents such as site plans, floor plans, sections, elevations, and details, and Construction Documents containing instructions to contractors, for multiple projects of varying complexity. Assist the Project Manager or Job Captain in tracking Construction Administration. May be required to travel to the outer islands of Hawaii or domestically for projects 1-2x per year or more as needed. The term outer islands refers to the islands of Kauai, Maui, Molokai, Lanai, and Hawaii Island in the State of Hawaii. No travel outside of the United States is required for this position.
Skills And Knowledge Requirements
Must have received at least a Master's degree in Architecture from an NAAB-accredited school. Must have designed an 80-125 unit mid-size residential building with parking and shared/community spaces. Must have experience with placemaking for community spaces. Must demonstrate ability to hand-draw/sketch initial concept diagrams. Digital portfolio required at time of application. Applicants must be able to pass a Revit assessment and code assessment prior to hire.
Education Requirements
:
At least a Masters degree in Architecture from an NAAB-accredited school.
Experience Requirements
Must have designed an 80-125 unit mid-size residential building with parking and shared/community spaces. Must have experience with placemaking for community spaces. Must demonstrate ability to hand-draw/sketch initial concept diagrams. Digital portfolio required at time of application. Applicants must be able to pass a Revit assessment and code assessment prior to hire.
Other Requirements
May be required to travel to the outer islands of Hawaii or domestically for projects 1-2x per year or more as needed. The term outer islands refers to the islands of Kauai, Maui, Molokai, Lanai, and Hawaii Island in the State of Hawaii. No travel outside of the United States is required for this position.
