Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty equipment, including trucks, construction machinery, and industrial vehicles. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability of our fleet and equipment. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems across various heavy equipment and vehicles.
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, suspension work, and air brake system inspections to keep equipment operating at peak efficiency.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues accurately.
- Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding and hand tools to meet specific repair requirements.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and document all repairs performed for accountability and future reference.
- We are mainly looking for someone to help out on PMs, tires, and trailers (Tires, brakes, and lights on the trailers)
Skills
- Proven dealership or heavy equipment mechanic experience with a strong mechanical knowledge base.
- Experience with fabrication, welding, soldering, and working with power tools for custom repairs or modifications.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance including transmissions, suspension systems, brakes (including air brakes), alignment procedures, hydraulics, and HVAC systems.
- Familiarity with diesel engine repair for trucks
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients or team members regarding repairs or maintenance needs.
- Capable of performing heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during equipment assembly or repairs.
