Lower Southampton Township seeks a qualified individual for the position of Public Works Director. The Public Works Director is responsible for the efficient and effective planning, organizing, directing, and supervising of the Public Works Department. Responsibilities include the operation and maintenance of Township streets, sanitary sewer lines, pump stations, drainage facilities, Township basins, buildings, grounds, parks, vehicles, and snow removal. Applicant should have an Associate’s Degree and minimum of ten (10) years or more of Public Works experience preferred; or any equivalent combination of education minimum of a HS degree and 15 or more years-experience in the Public Works field. A successful candidate must have supervisory experience, a valid CDL license, and a Wastewater/Sewer Certification or obtain one within 90 days of hire. Candidates should have strong management, communication skills and people skills, as well as be dependable, ethically bound, and work efficiently. Compensation is $80,000 - $100,000 depending on experience, plus generous benefits.
