What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time Duty Aide (recess and cafeteria duty) position at LOWER POTTSGROVE?
Vacancies currently currently exist for part-time Duty Aides to cover lunch and recess periods at Lower Pottsgrove Elementary School. These are rewarding positions in a supportive team environment where your work makes a difference in the lives of young students.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Escort students from the cafeteria to the playground for recess; supervise students while on the playground, ensuring their safety.
- Distribute lunch tickets to proper students; escort students to the cafeteria and supervise students in the cafeteria during lunch period.
- Escort students from the cafeteria to their encore classes and from classes to the playground.
- Monitor students as assigned.
- Work closely with the Dean of Students/Assistant Principal/Principal and teachers.
- Maintain communication with guidance counselors when appropriate.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Dean of Students/Assistant Principal/Principal.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma necessary
- Experience working with children preferred
- Must have current Act 34, 151 & 114 Clearances
Pay: $15.22/hour
Hours: 10:45 AM - 2:15 PM (3.5 hours per day); Hours shift on early release days
