What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Counselors (beginning in 2026-27 school year) position at Lower Merion School District?
Lower Merion School District is hiring a School Counselors in our elementary and high schools.
PA Certification in PA Certification in School Counseling K-12 required. 3-5 years counseling experience preferred. Ability to meet the needs of students, parents, faculty and staff through various service systems. Knowledge of PSSA; SAP process; 504s, IEPs and GIEPs. Knowledge of the standards and practices of national and local guiding associations: ASCA and PSCA.

Good standing relative to Act 48 credits. Child abuse, PA State Police and FBI clearances (no less than one year from date of hire)
Contract and long-term substitute positions available. Salary and benefits set by LMEA Collective Bargaining Agreement.
