Park Assistant (Temporary Assignment)
Job description: LCRA Parks is seeking qualified candidates with a passion for providing park guests with high-quality service during their visits to Canyon of the Eagles located in the Texas Hill Country! This position will perform light custodial & maintenance duties as well as engage with park guests to provide a seamless, enjoyable stay from arrival to departure, whether they are camping for an extended period of time at one of our RV or camp sites, or simply visiting for the day to enjoy one of many activities such as hiking, kayaking, biking and more!
This job is a temporary position with a third-party staffing agency.
Job Duties:
At an entry level, performs general day-to-day custodial, grounds keeping, minor maintenance and customer service duties within a park setting, ensuring a safe, clean, and hospitable environment for our guests.
· Cleans facilities (restrooms, offices, fee booths, pavilions, porches, decks, dining halls, kitchens, picnic tables, fire rings and grills) according to established standards.
· Empties trash cans and cleans grounds of trash and debris.
· Performs routine maintenance including painting, changing AC filters and light bulbs, minor carpentry and plumbing repairs (e.g. leaks, sinks, toilet problems).
· Performs customer service activities providing information and assisting guests on the grounds.
· Assist in greeting customers upon arrival, as well as facilitate check in for day use and overnight guests by handling cash & credit card transactions.
· Provide information on pricing, activities, and other recreational offerings and support equipment rentals when assigned.
· Perform administrative duties such as answering phone calls, supporting guests through the reservation process, running daily reports, etc.
· Opens and closes buildings.

Preferred Requirements:
Exude a passion for sharing the outdoors with guests. Experience in customer service or people-oriented industry or experience in light maintenance & custodial work. Must be an enthusiastic self-starter who enjoys working in the outdoors and with people. Must have a valid Texas driver’s license. Employment contingent upon negative results of post offer criminal background check. Must hold current First Aid/CPR certificate or be willing to obtain certificate.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
