Take your technical career to the next level! We are seeking a driven Instrumentation & Control Technician II to join our Dam & Hydro team! Be the driving force behind the installation, calibration, and repair of critical instrumentation and control systems. How You’ll Contribute:
  • Adhere to strict tag-out procedures to ensure a safe work environment for all personnel.
  • Inspect and evaluate facility systems and equipment to ensure optimal efficiency.
  • Identify operational issues and develop actionable solutions.
  • Analyze and interpret technical diagrams to develop actionable troubleshooting or repair procedures.
  • Record all equipment and system changes in logs and files while ensuring clear verbal and written communication to supervisors and peers.
  • Operate and calibrate handheld testing equipment to complete installations and routine maintenance.
  • Perform loop checks and commission system upgrades.
  • Travel independently or in small teams to field locations (substations, power plants, and water systems) as scheduled.
How You’re Qualified:
  • Six or more years' experience in installation, maintenance and/or repair of instrumentation, control equipment or monitoring equipment or relevant experience.
  • Degree in electronics, instrumentation, SCADA, engineering technology or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
  • Driver's license required if traveling to work at various locations.
How You’ll Stand Out:
  • Knowledge of human-machine interface software and systems
  • Proficient troubleshooting and testing skills to diagnose electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience using control systems and equipment (e.g., distributed control systems, programmable logic controllers).
  • Experience in modifying electrical, logic and P&ID drawings accurately.

Pay: $44.00 - $53.78 per hour
