Medical Assistant PRN / Per Diem
Brewster, MA
Small specialty podiatry clinic in Brewster seeking a PRN / per diem Medical Assistant to join our team. This is an as-needed daytime position to help support clinic flow, staff coverage, and patient care needs. No evenings or weekends.
This role is ideal for someone who wants flexible outpatient clinical work and is comfortable stepping into a fast-paced specialty practice. We value team members who take initiative, work well with others, and help maintain an organized, efficient, and welcoming clinical environment.
This is a hands-on role assisting podiatrists in a busy outpatient specialty practice.

Responsibilities
Tasks include but are not limited to:
Clinical Duties
- Prepare examination and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies
- Prepare patients for examination and treatment
- Assist physicians during minor procedures and treatments
- Apply dressings and assist with splints and wound care when needed
- Perform foot and ankle X-rays under provider supervision
- Prepare instruments and maintain sterile procedure trays
- Sterilize instruments using an autoclave and maintain proper sterilization procedures
- Instruct patients on post-treatment or discharge instructions when appropriate
- Assist in maintaining a clean, sanitary, and organized treatment environment
Administrative / Office Duties
- Maintain patient records and documentation in the electronic medical record
- Assist with scheduling and appointment coordination as needed
- Answer telephone calls and assist patients as needed
- Maintain clinical and office supplies
- Complete opening and closing procedures for the clinic as assigned
- Ensure work areas remain clean, stocked, and organized throughout the day
Qualifications
- Medical Assistant training or clinical experience preferred but not required
- Certifications such as MA, CNA, LNA, EMT-Basic, or BLS are preferred but not required
- Entry-level candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply

Schedule
- PRN / per diem
- Daytime hours only
- Shifts scheduled based on clinic needs, staff coverage, and patient volume
- No evenings or weekends

Hiring Process
Qualified candidates may be invited to participate in a short paid shadow shift to see the clinic workflow and meet the team.
Pay: $21.00 - $28.00 per hour
