Construction Laborer

Lowen Companies is seeking skilled and dependable individuals to join our unit renovation team as Construction Laborer. This role will focus on demolition, daily site cleaning, detailed final cleaning, and miscellaneous responsibilities as assigned by the Superintendent. Candidates must be clean-cut, reliable, and professional when working in occupied spaces.

The ideal candidate has worked extensively in occupied multi-family and residential spaces where tenant and client interaction is expected. They understand the need for a sense of urgency in the work they complete while maintaining best practices for safety and quality control. They are proactive, highly organized and are able to build and maintain strong relationships with owners, trade partners, and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform demolition of cabinets, flooring, and fixtures as part of unit renovations.
• Handle debris removal and maintain clean workspaces throughout the day.
• Complete final cleaning of units before tenant move-in.
• Work respectfully in occupied apartment communities.
• Assist carpenters, painters, and flooring installers as needed.
• Report progress and site issues to the Superintendent.
• Follow safety guidelines and use PPE as required.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards, building codes, and permit requirements.

Qualifications
Education:

• 1 years of general labor or construction experience preferred with a preference to individuals that have worked in Memory Care occupied facilities.
• Attention to detail, especially in final cleaning.
• Friendly, respectful demeanor.
• Reliable transportation within one hour of the Twin Cities metro area.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, kneel, bend, and work in occupied settings.
• Clean, professional appearance and communication.
• High school diploma or GED .

Technical Competencies:

• Maintain competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
• Preference to candidate that has the ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings.

Working Conditions

Location:

• The Construction Laborer will primarily work in occupied memory care, assisted living, market rate, and affordable housing facilities.
• Occasional travel to company offices for meetings and strategic planning may be required.

• Exposure to varying weather conditions based on project location.
• Adherence to strict safety protocols in potentially hazardous environments.
• Engagement with trade partners, and stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination.
