What are the responsibilities and job description for the Trucking Parts Associate position at Lowell Fleet Companies?
We are Lowell Fleet Maintenance, a heavy-duty fleet maintenance, repair, and towing provider based in Lowell, MA. We work with large motor carriers to maintain and repair their fleet of heavy-duty assets such as tractors, trailers, box trucks, and heavy equipment.
We are looking for an experienced Parts Associate to take over our warehouse and parts sourcing functions. This is an important role that works closely with almost every department in our company including dispatch, service, accounting, and customer service. The right candidate is a highly-motivated individual who has technical, procedural, inventory control, and vendor management knowledge.
This role is equally split between time spent researching and ordering parts and data entry/receiving of parts into our software. Truck parts knowledge is strongly preferred, clean driving record is necessary, and strong attention to detail and organizational skills, as well as proficiency with computer usage is absolutely necessary.
Ideal candidate can function well in an office setting and use/learn all the computer software necessary for the job, but is also willing to work closely with the technicians in the shop. This is a high paced position that requires considerable energy and problem solving skills to perform well.
