Lowell Catholic is a Xaverian Brothers Sponsored School, and we seek educators who are committed to our mission and the core Xaverian values of humility, simplicity, compassion, zeal, and trust. We are seeking a full-time Theology Teacher (Grades 9–12) who will bring a passion for faith formation and academic excellence into the classroom.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver meaningful Theology curriculum grounded in Catholic doctrine and aligned with the standards of the Archdiocese of Boston Framework.
- Create a classroom culture that fosters spiritual growth, student engagement, and respectful dialogue.
- Integrate Xaverian values into daily teaching and student relationships, modeling Gospel-centered leadership.
- Collaborate with colleagues and Campus Ministry to support the school’s spiritual life, including liturgies, retreats, and service opportunities.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners and promote critical thinking.
- Communicate regularly with students, families, and colleagues to support student growth.
- Encourage reflection, moral development, and compassionate action as part of students’ academic and spiritual formation.
Qualifications
- Practicing Catholic with a strong commitment to living and teaching the faith.
- Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Religious Studies, or a related field from an accredited college or university (Master’s preferred).
- Experience teaching Theology in a Catholic school setting preferred.
- Familiarity with Catholic Social Teaching, adolescent faith development, and inclusive teaching practices.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
