Responsibilities

- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement and upselling opportunities
- Assist with merchandising efforts by stocking shelves, setting up displays, and maintaining visual standards
- Support inventory management through stocking, organizing merchandise, and conducting stock counts
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Promote store promotions and seasonal campaigns to maximize sales opportunities
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive shopping experience
Requirements
- Previous retail or grocery store experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are essential
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse customers and team members
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve our diverse customer base more effectively
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations
- Experience with POS systems, cashiering, and cash handling is highly desirable
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities are advantageous for supporting team efforts
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and perform physical tasks related to stocking and merchandising
- Knowledge of grocery store operations or familiarity with retail sales environments is beneficial
