Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Neurology Nurse Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess an understanding of animal care and veterinary practices, ensuring the health and well-being of our patients. As a Veterinary Neurology Nurse Assistant, you will assist and support our veterinarian and nurses in providing high-quality care to the Lowcountry and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarian and nurses during examinations, surgeries, and medical procedures.
- Perform daily tasks assigned by veterinarian or lead nurse.
- Monitor animal vital signs and report any changes to the veterinarian or lead nurse.
- Maintain knowledge of all accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
- Handle and restrain animals safely during examinations or procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the clinic, including kennel areas.
- Assist in receptionist duties as needed.
Requirements
- Experience as a Veterinary Nurse Assistant or similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and husbandry practices is preferred.
- Knowledge of dog handling techniques and animal restraint methods is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Passion for animal welfare and commitment to providing exceptional pet care.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
