Lowcountry Eye Care | Charleston, SC | Full-Time | $19–$23/hour

Let's be honest, selling glasses is easy. Helping someone find the right glasses? That's where you come in. We're looking for an Optician who can talk lenses, frames and prescriptions without making people feel like they're being sold a timeshare.

What You'll Be Doing

• Help patients choose frames and lenses that fit their prescription, lifestyle, and budget
• Explain lens options, coatings, materials, and insurance benefits in a way patients can actually understand
• Take accurate measurements, complete orders and fee slips, and help prevent costly remakes
• Track optical jobs, communicate with patients, and make sure glasses are ready when promised Adjust glasses, troubleshoot fit or lens issues, and handle more complex optical needs
• Keep the optical area organized, welcoming, and running smoothly
• Pitch in with phones, check-in/out, and other office needs when needed
• Create an experience that makes patients want to come back

Who We're Looking For

• Someone who genuinely enjoys helping people
• Confident communicating with patients and explaining options
• Comfortable working toward optical sales goals without being pushy
• Detail-oriented—because a tiny mistake can turn into a very expensive remake
• Able to work independently while still being a team player
• Able to work under pressure and keep moving when the office gets busy
• Physically able to stay on your feet and move throughout the day
• A self-starter who likes to learn and wants to keep developing their skills
• Reliable and accountable—you show up ready to work
• Previous optical experience preferred, but the right person with the right attitude can be trained
