Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that incorporate early intervention strategies, literacy education, and social-emotional learning tailored for infants and toddlers.
• Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, curiosity, and physical activity through engaging lesson plans and activities.
• Monitor and assess each child's development using standardized testing methods and observational techniques to inform individualized learning plans.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively by employing positive behavior management strategies that promote cooperation and emotional regulation.
• Collaborate with families to share progress updates, discuss developmental milestones, and provide resources related to childhood development, special education needs, and child welfare.
• Maintain accurate documentation of children's progress, attendance records, and compliance with licensing standards.
• Ensure health and safety protocols are consistently followed to create a secure childcare setting aligned with state regulations.

Experience

• Prior classroom experience working with children in early childhood education settings such as daycare centers or preschools.
• Knowledge of curriculum development principles including Montessori methods or other educational frameworks suited for early learners.
• Experience in working with children requiring special education or early intervention services is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with classroom management techniques, lesson planning, and teaching physical education activities for young children.
• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, and team members while fostering a positive learning environment.
• Background in childhood development theories, literacy education strategies, and behavior management practices.
• Previous experience in private school or daycare settings is a plus; certification in early childhood education or related fields is preferred.
