Job Overview
We are growing coffee roastery located in Summerville, SC, dedicated to delivering fresh, high quality coffee to our community. We are looking for a dependable Coffee Packer, to join our production team. You will turn fresh roasted beans into ready-ship-bags.
Duties
- Operate packaging machinery and industrial equipment with precision, adhering to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and FDA regulations.
- Must be able to lift boxes and move heavy green coffee bags with assistance.
- Weigh & Measure: Use weigh-fill machines to measure exact amounts of whole bean and ground coffee.
- Label, Bag & Seal: Print and apply clear, accurate labels for different roasts and sizes, seal and package coffee bags securely to lock in freshness.
- Order Fulfillment: Pack coffee orders for daily shipments and local customers.
- Follow safety standards in production environments, including proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and safe handling of heavy or bulky items.
- Quality Control: Inspect bags for defects, tears or incorrect labeling.
- Knowledge of hand tools, assembly processes, and safety standards in production settings.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Sweep, sanitize and organize the workspace to meet food safety rules.
- Basic math skills, basic weights, measures and simple counting.
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting, bending and standing for extended periods, and performing repetitive tasks. Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reliability, strong work ethic and ability to work quickly without making mistakes.
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
