What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security Camera Technician position at Low Voltage Designs?
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement security systems for commercial and residential properties
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine system requirements and installation locations
- Install, program, and maintain intrusion detection systems (IDS)
- Conduct low voltage wiring and connections for security devices
- Possess mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair security equipment
- Configure computer networks for remote access to security systems
- Provide technical support to customers regarding alarm system sales and installations
- Understand computer hardware components related to security systems
- Analyze and interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes
- Serve as a service technician for ongoing maintenance and repairs
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in system design and installation of security systems
- Proficiency in reading and understanding blueprints
- Strong knowledge of IDS technology and functionality
- Familiarity with low voltage wiring practices
- Mechanical aptitude for equipment troubleshooting and repairs
- Understanding of computer networking principles for remote access setup
- Sales experience in the alarm system industry is a plus
- Knowledge of computer hardware components related to security systems
- Ability to analyze and interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes
