Position Overview
Lowcost Pharmacy is seeking a motivated, patient-centered Pharmacist to join our growing independent pharmacy team. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Provide one-on-one patient counseling to improve medication adherence and outcomes
- Administer immunizations (flu, COVID-19, shingles, and other vaccines)
- Deliver clinical services including Medication Therapy Management (MTM)
- Collaborate with physicians, urgent care providers, and other healthcare professionals
- Oversee pharmacy workflow including production, verification, and patient pick-up
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and interns to ensure safe and efficient operations
- Manage inventory, ordering, and cost-effective purchasing strategies
- Maintain compliance with Ohio Board of Pharmacy and DEA regulations
- Support adherence packaging, free delivery services, and wellness programs
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and error prevention programs
Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
- Active Pharmacist license in the state of Ohio
- Immunization certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong clinical knowledge and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Preferred Experience
- Community/retail pharmacy experience
- Experience with MTM platforms (e.g., outcomes-based care programs)
- Familiarity with third-party insurance billing and prior authorizations
- Experience with adherence packaging systems
