What Success Looks Like
- Assist with the installation of landscape projects including sod, plantings, trees, shrubs, and hardscape elements such as patios, walkways, and retaining walls.
- Prepare job sites by unloading materials, staging supplies, and ensuring proper layout according to plans and crew leader direction.
- Operate hand tools and small equipment safely and effectively under supervision, including shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, and power tools.
- Support irrigation setup, adjustments, and troubleshooting to ensure proper watering of installed landscapes.
- Maintain worksite cleanliness by removing debris, organizing tools, and leaving the property in a professional condition.
- Follow safety protocols and crew leader instructions to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
- Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow removal, de-icing, or other weather-related needs when applicable.
- Care for and properly store tools, equipment, and materials at the end of each workday.
- Collaborate with teammates to solve problems on-site and ensure high-quality results that meet LOVING’s standards.
- Represent LOVING with professionalism when interacting with clients, neighbors, or the public at job sites.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned that support the mission and core values of LOVING, ensuring alignment with our culture of community, integrity, and impact.
- Experience in landscaping or outdoor work preferred, but not required — training provided.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor in all weather conditions, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to use hand tools safely and follow instructions.
- Must meet attendance and punctuality standards.
- Spanish-speaking a plus.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen.
- For driving positions: must have a clean 3-year Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and successfully complete a DOT medical exam.
