What Success Looks Like
- Install landscape materials including sod, plants, trees, shrubs, mulch, soil, and aggregates while ensuring proper placement, spacing, and finish quality.
- Perform site preparation and trenching by removing debris, shaping terrain, digging trenches, preparing soil, and supporting day-to-day jobsite setup.
- Operate bobcats, skid steers, and other equipment to move materials, grade terrain, trench lines, and prepare areas for installation.
- Install drainage, irrigation, and piping systems by laying out lines, connecting fittings, ensuring proper flow and slope, and verifying function.
- Support grading work by leveling soil, adjusting elevations, and preparing surfaces for sod, hardscapes, and planting work.
- Handle materials throughout the day, loading and unloading sod, plants, soil, pipe, and other materials safely and efficiently.
- Follow project plans and layout instructions by understanding measurements, elevations, and installation requirements to keep the job on track.
- Maintain a clean and organized jobsite through daily cleanup, debris removal, and safe material staging.
- Identify issues early such as grade discrepancies, drainage concerns, irrigation leaks, or material defects, and communicate them to leadership.
- Care for company tools and equipment by cleaning, inspecting, and reporting maintenance needs.
- Clock in and out daily and follow all LOVING procedures for timekeeping and attendance.
- Work safely every day by following PPE requirements, equipment safety rules, and LOVING jobsite standards.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned that support the mission and core values of LOVING, ensuring alignment with our culture of community, integrity, and impact.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a 3-year MVR check, pre-employment drug screen, and background check
- A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in landscape installation, including sod work, planting, trenching, site prep, and material handling
- Proven ability to operate bobcats, skid steers, and other light construction equipment safely and effectively
- Experience installing drainage systems, irrigation lines, and piping, with a solid understanding of grading, slope, and water flow
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform consistent physical labor
- Clear communication skills, reliability, and a strong TEAM-focused attitude
- Dependability, strong work ethic, and pride in delivering high-quality workmanship
- Ability to clock in and out daily and follow all scheduling, timekeeping, and attendance expectations
- Bilingual in English and Spanish strong preferred
