Duties
- Travel to patient locations such as homes, clinics, or hospitals to perform blood sampling with precision and care
- Ensure proper identification and verification of patients before specimen collection
- Collect blood samples using manual handling techniques, adhering to safety protocols and infection control standards
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and update electronic health records (EHR) efficiently and securely
- Report patient conditions or any concerns observed during collection to supervising healthcare professionals
- Follow established procedures for specimen labeling, storage, and transportation to laboratories
- Communicate clearly with patients, providing health education about procedures and addressing any questions or anxieties they may have
Qualifications
- Proven experience in critical care or acute care environments, with a strong understanding of medical terminology and diagnostic radiology practices preferred
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) required
- Prior clinic experience, especially in surgical or plastic surgery settings, is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability in blood sampling techniques and patient service excellence
- Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems for managing medical documentation efficiently
- Strong client communication skills with the ability to report patient conditions accurately and compassionately
- Familiarity with manual handling, patient condition reporting, and medical documentation standards necessary for safe practice
