Job summary:
The cashier is an entry level position that receives and disburses money while ringing up food orders in micros. Cashiers are responsible for taking payments from customers, making change, and giving receipts. They generally operate a cash register or adding machine.
Summary of essential job functions:
- Present a friendly and positive attitude to all guests and coworkers
- Knowledge of POS system to handle all transactions
- Responsible for ringing up sales (cash and credit cards) and collecting accurate payment from guests
- Keep an accurate accounting of all guest orders and payments
- Maintain cleanliness of service areas and ensure work area is organized and properly stocked
- Handle all guest service issues in an immediate and professional manner
- Must provide excellent customer service while maintaining a friendly professional atmosphere for all guests
- Perform other duties and assignments to meet business demand as needed
Abilities/Skills required:
- Working knowledge of POS systems
- Basic math, cash register and calculator skills
- Excellent communication skills
