Role Description
This is an on-site, full-time role based in NYC for a 6 month contract, for a Freelance Kids Technical Designer. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to execute all technical design aspects of kidswear collections. Responsibilities include creating and reviewing technical sketches, evaluating garment construction, conducting fittings, and ensuring precise measurement specifications. The ideal candidate will work closely with factories to ensure accuracy and maintain the brand’s high-quality standards.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Technical Design
- Strong understanding of Garment Construction and Fitting processes
- Experience with Pattern Making and its coordination with design ideation
- Knowledge of design Architecture to ensure alignment with brand aesthetics
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage time efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Degree in Fashion Design or a related field preferred
- Experience with kidswear design and construction is a plus
