Job Overview:
We are looking for a motivated Assistant Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, team-focused environment. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys leading by example, supporting daily operations, and helping create an exceptional experience for both customers and staff!
Duties:
- Assisting with all aspects of the hiring and training of new employees
- Ensuring the shop remains clean and up kept at all times
- Assisting the General Manager with errands and proper money handling
- Managing the weekly schedule for staff
- Creating content and posting to social media weekly to help boost sales
- Assist in training new hires and existing employees
- Ensure that all employees are following rules, recipes and customer service standards while setting a good example yourself
- Ensuring staff is following protocols while directly reporting to the General Manager
- Assist with planning events and promoting said events on social media
- Assisting with the conduction of staff meetings
- Managing time off requests from staff
- Helping supervise artist transactions, and monthly payments.
- Occasionally assisting with ordering when the general manager is out
- Ensuring food and supplies are put away properly and up to code, while ensuring that inventory is being monitored and reported properly and accurately
- Making quality drinks to the highest of standards
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of proven barista experience
- Strong leadership skills with at least 2 years of team management and supervising experience preferably in a cafe', retail, or restaurant setting
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in math, cash handling, and POS systems
- Skilled in customer service and hospitality
- Experience in hiring, training, and coaching employees
- Exceptional communication skills—both verbal and written—along with phone etiquette expertise
- Ability to perform math calculations accurately; strong organizational skills for stock management
- Marketing and social media experience on Instagram, Facebook, and Tiktok is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal skills
