JOB TITLE: Assistant Manager.
DEPARTMENT: Venice.
REPORTS TO: Program Manager.
Supervises: Staff in the assigned area.
Summary
The Assistant Manager position supports the Program Manager in providing leadership, oversight, and direction for their assigned Loveland Center programs. They assist in building pathways for inclusion in the greater community and help move the center forward in providing the best services and support for the I/DD community.
Qualifications
Associate’s Degree in a related field with at least one (1) year experience working in an educational, health care, or related field and at least six (6) months working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Experience will substitute year for year for educational experience. Must have a driver’s license and access to a reliable motor vehicle.

- Help maintain lines of communication among participants, parents/guardians, staff, volunteers, Program Manager, and administrative team regarding all aspects of daily programming.
- Support oversight of all programs and services in your service area and promote an atmosphere conducive to life skills development and training in all program areas.
- With DSPs and Program Manager, assist in scheduling staff and participant activities within all area programs.
- Assist in performing weekly and monthly assessments and reviews on programmatic quality.
- Help ensure all APD regulations and Loveland Standards are met.
- Participate in both external and internal audits and assist in developing a plan of correction in a timely manner.
- Support the evaluation of the performance of DSPs and report concerns to the Program Manager.
- Assist in interviewing, hiring, and training processes of new staff in the assigned area.
- During a crisis situation, help coordinate activities related to the situation until resolution is reached and the safety of participants and employees is assured.
- Assist in implementing new programs that serve the needs of the center.
- Serve as an ambassador for Loveland’s mission and advocate for individuals with I/DD in an effort to bring visibility to disability.
- Represent Loveland Center at community events to help grow the program.
- Fully adhere to Loveland’s Unifying Values and Code of Ethics.
- Embrace and support the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion and ensure that they are reflected in all aspects of work.
- Promote a supportive environment by performing job duties in a positive and respectful manner.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with peers and staff from administration and other locations to work towards achieving agency goals.
