Patient Access Specialist- Hospital Registration

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Access Specialist to join our healthcare team. This role is pivotal in ensuring a smooth patient experience from the moment they enter our facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical office operations, including scheduling, documentation review, and familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Epic. As a Patient Access Specialist, you will be responsible for managing patient information, registration, insurance verification, bedside registration, obtain compliance forms.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients upon arrival and assist them with the check-in process.
• Review and verify patient documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain organized records of patient interactions and ensure data is accurately entered into electronic health record systems.
• Address patient inquiries regarding services, insurance, and billing processes.
• Support office management tasks to enhance operational efficiency within the department.

Shift is

Weekends

Friday, Saturday and Sunday

Graveyard 7pm-730am

Shift qualifies for shift differential- additional pay

Requirements

• Previous experience in a medical office or hospital setting is required.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Epic is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism at all times.
