What are the responsibilities and job description for the Research Associate - Aerosol position at Lovelace Biomedical Research Institute?
Overview
The successful candidate will collaborate with scientific staff and will author sections of publications based on research performed as well as perform all other related duties and tasks as required or assigned. May supervise technical staff and provides training.
Qualifications
Requires a masters degree in a related scientific discipline and a minimum of 2 years demonstrated research experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been attained. Directly-related experience in an aerosol research lab is required for this Research Associate position, as is demonstrated success independently completing aerosol research projects.
Experience should include conducting related research, writing reports and protocols, using a scientific approach to analyze, interpret and report data within project deadlines. Must have a demonstrated understanding of science research principles, practices and procedures and the ability to follow and enforce safety procedures.
Experience in a broad background of scientific fields including aerosol sciences, mechanical engineering, and analytical chemistry is highly desired. Additional competencies within electrical engineering, toxicology and pharmacology are preferred.
