Position Summary
- Client is looking for a full-time Registered Nurse to work in our busy 15-bed Emergency Department.
- Patients range from geriatric to neonatal.
- Various shifts, predominantly working 12-hour shifts, though subject to change according to the department's needs.
- 1:5 patient ratio.
- We average 65 patients per day and approximately 25,000 patients per year.
- The successful candidate will work as part of a collaborative team of 2-4 RNs with our Physicians.
- Provide high-quality patient care following established protocols and practices.
- Administer medications, including intravenous fluids and antibiotics, as prescribed by the physician.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, communicating effectively with the medical team.
- Perform emergency procedures and life-saving interventions when necessary.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality of information.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.
- Participate in continuous professional development and training sessions.
- Ensure compliance with all departmental policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Education: Associates of Nursing required.
- Experience: Previous critical care experience preferred.
- License: Current Nevada RN license required.
- American Heart Association Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 14 days upon hire.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days upon hire.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90-days upon hire or transfer.
- TNCC within 6 months upon hire or transfer.
