This role ensures the efficient management, maintenance, and compliance of all vehicles and equipment, supports delivery and resale processes, and provides administrative and operational support to maximize asset utilization and minimize losses.
Job Functions
- Assist with title, registration, and monthly tag renewals for vehicles and equipment.
- Maintain and update asset supply records; log entry of new and used equipment.
- Monitor, schedule, and track inspections and maintenance for trucks, trailers, and other assets.
- Communicate with vendors for repairs, assign trucks to stores, and set up new vendors as needed.
- Ensure efficient and timely delivery of new equipment to drivers; maintain pool car upkeep.
- Prepare retired trucks and equipment for resale; check and process resale assets.
- Analyze maintenance costs and maximize utilization and recovery of assets.
- Maintain permits and handle toll violations for trucks and trailers.
- File paperwork and maintain accurate records.
- Provide exceptional customer service and clear communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including cross-training in related positions.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2–4 years of experience in fleet management, trucking, or equipment operations preferred.
- Hard Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of fleet and equipment management processes.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated, with good time management and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending, and stooping.
- Occasional lifting (up to 50 pounds).
- Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
- Normal range of hearing and vision
