This role combines strategic vision, analytical rigor, and strong business partnership. The Director will lead and scale a high-performing FP&A organization, set enterprise-wide standards for financial analysis, and elevate the quality, consistency, and impact of decision support across the company.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Value Creation

  • Provide forward-looking insights that identify risks, opportunities, and trade-offs, enabling faster and better-informed decisions.

Enterprise FP&A Excellence

  • Establish and continuously improve enterprise-wide FP&A best practices, standards, and cadences for forecasting, performance management, and reporting.
  • Define, implement, and track meaningful KPIs that connect operational performance to financial outcomes across each business within Love’s Family of Companies.
  • Drive consistency, quality, and efficiency across financial models, analyses, and executive deliverables.

Business Partnership & Executive Influence

  • Act as a strategic finance partner to operations, commercial teams, and functional leadership.
  • Distill complex analyses into clear, compelling narratives and recommendations tailored to executive audiences.
  • Proactively challenge assumptions, surface insights, and influence outcomes through fact-based storytelling and strong executive presence.
  • Evaluate M&A and organic growth opportunities, ensuring alignment with strategic and financial objectives.

Team Leadership & Talent Development

  • Lead and scale a high-performing FP&A team with strong analytical, communication, and business acumen capabilities.
  • Establish clear roles, expectations, career paths, and development plans to attract, retain, and grow top talent.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional excellence.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required.
  • MBA, CFA, or comparable advanced credential strongly preferred.
  • 10 years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or related analytical roles, including significant people leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience building, leading, and developing high-performing teams.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive decisions through insights, not just analysis.
  • Deep expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, scenario analysis, and performance management.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated curiosity, ownership mindset, and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance strategic initiatives with ongoing operational and analytical responsibilities.
  • Proven leadership capability, including the ability to lead, inspire, coach, and develop a team of finance professionals.
  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking skills, with the ability to translate data into meaningful business insights.
  • Project management proficiency, including oversight of complex, cross-functional initiatives from conception through execution, with a focus on timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly present complex financial information to a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, proactive mindset, and adaptability to adjust approaches as business needs evolve.
  • Technological proficiency with financial systems, reporting platforms, and analytical tools; ability to leverage technology to enhance insight generation and decision support.
