The Senior Technology Project Manager is responsible for leading complex technology initiatives from inception to delivery, ensuring alignment with business value and strategic goals for the Supply Chain organization. This role requires expertise in project management methodologies, stakeholder engagement, and emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI). This individual will apply proven project management techniques relevant to the project and team performing them, whether that be in a ‘waterfall’, agile or hybrid approach. As a senior level role, this person will also be responsible for coaching others in the practice of project management/scrum methodologies.
Job Functions:
Project Leadership & Delivery
Manage end-to-end lifecycle of supply chain technology projects, from planning through deployment and post-implementation review.
Define project scope, objectives, and KPIs aligned with supply chain and business goals.
Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, and resource allocations.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Assess and mitigate risks related to technology implementation in supply chain operations.
Leverage project management tools (Azure Dev Ops, Aha!, MSProject, etc.) to document, track and report on project progress and outcomes and facilitate overall planning
Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and efficiently across teams, technologies and business areas
Identify the best project management approach to use depending on the team and nature of the project and effectively execute as project manager.
Partner closely with solution implementation partners and determine how to adapt and consolidate methodologies to work with Love’s
Technology Implementation & Optimization
Oversee implementation of supply chain systems, data, and integration platforms.
Identify opportunities for process automation and technology-driven improvements.
Coordinate with external partners, technology, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless system integration and data flow.
Leverage AI to improve project management functions, reporting, and risk management
Identify opportunities for improving project flow, documentation, and communication
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
Partner with supply chain leaders, subject matter experts, and technology teams to ensure alignment and adoption of technology solutions.
Communicate project status, risks, and benefits to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to earn their trust, confidence, and respect.
Preparation and presentation of project status/progress reports to various audiences, focusing on appropriate content for the audience
Effectively conduct meetings spanning multiple teams on complex matters.
Mentorship & Team Development
Act as a mentor, coach, and facilitator to build self-organizing, high-performing teams.
Proactively remove obstacles to ensure teams remain focused and productive.
Define clear roles and responsibilities for all project team members, fostering accountability and ownership.
Guides the team in the setting of realistic objectives for delivery timeframes and continually manages project expectations with team and stakeholder in a traditional waterfall approach or in Agile/sprint delivery cycles.
For any agile project - facilitate scrum ceremonies – Sprint planning, grooming, daily stand-ups, sprint demo, retrospectives and feature planning. Maintain team capacity, burn-downs, key metrics and dashboard reporting.
For any waterfall project – facilitate necessary meetings, resource/capacity models and planning, maintain project plan in appropriate tool by relevant project phase, reporting and stakeholder communication.
Demonstrates continuous improvement and encourages other team members to do the same
Continuously broadens capabilities to effectively apply Project Management /Agile techniques and improve coaching and mentoring skills.
Experience:
Minimum of 8 years project management experience
Agile methodology experience, including Scrum.
Project management expertise, leading large scale, complex and high value projects.
Hard Skills
Proficiency with project management tools (Azure DevOps, MSProject, Aha!, etc.)
Ability to build or determine requirements for project dashboards
Budget and cost control experience
AI-enabled project reporting and workflow optimization
Ability to manage complex, multi-team projects simultaneously
Strong documentation and status reporting capability
Soft Skills
Detail oriented, with ability to explain the conceptual and speak to the detail of a project, relative to goals, tasks, resources and success criteria.
Ability to prioritize and manage numerous competing demands in a high stress environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills across audiences
Works independently and able to make decisions quickly when necessary
Strong interpersonal skills
Education
Bachelor's degree in MIS or related field required.
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certifications preferred
