BASIC PURPOSE: Manages the processes that ensure the accuracy of Musket settlements.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Validate and settle AR & AP invoices for various Crude, NGL & Refined products daily.
- Train on all Settlement Accountant desks to provide back-up as needed.
- Process invoices for Freight and Bio daily.
- Maintain daily ICG queues by printing newly added invoices that belong to Musket and rerouting Loves invoices.
- Research unmatched transactions; direct as needed such transactions to mid-office to amend
- Reconcile and clear cash, vendor and customer accounts in SAP.
- Deal with invoices and journal entries in multiple currencies.
- Create and maintain processes for all settlement desks.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Education:
- HS Diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred.
- Experience:
- 2-3 years’ experience in accounting or finance
SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Outlook, Microsoft Excel, and ability to learn new software.
- Experience with SolArc RightAngle and SAP is a plus.
- Experience with VAT and VAT invoicing requirements is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Team work, time management skills, and an ability to be detail oriented also required.
- The need to deal with a great diversity of people, and the possibility of occasional evening and/or weekend work.
- Typical Physical Demands:
- Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
- Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
- Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
