Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle maintenance and repair, particularly with diesel engines and related equipment. The Diesel Mechanic will work closely with our team to provide excellent service to our clients, ensuring their machinery is running smoothly.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and related equipment, including tractor-trailers and farm machinery.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques to ensure accurate repairs.
- Conduct inspections of vehicles to identify potential problems before they become serious issues.
- Repair or replace defective parts, such as shocks, struts, and other components as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of all work performed on vehicles for tracking purposes.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs and repair status.
- Align wheels and transmit power effectively within the machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Solder electrical connections as necessary to maintain vehicle functionality.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in diesel mechanics or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices, particularly with diesel engines and heavy equipment repair.
- Familiarity with farm machinery is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose mechanical issues efficiently.
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients about their vehicle needs.
