Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Part-time Caregivers to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and observe patients for any changes in condition or behavior, maintaining detailed documentation
- Administer medications and manage care plans according to healthcare provider instructions
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding as necessary
- Support patients with cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer's or dementia through engaging activities and memory care techniques
- Use appropriate equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to ensure safe transfers and mobility
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and laundry
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality and privacy at all times
- Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and team members to deliver comprehensive care.
Requirements
- Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing home, hospice care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism preferred
- Certification in First Aid and CPR required; additional certifications such as Alzheimer's or Dementia Care are a plus
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient monitoring techniques necessary for ensuring privacy and safety
- Ability to assist with heavy lifting and use of mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts
- Strong observational skills for patient safety and condition monitoring
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills and patience when working with diverse populations
- Flexibility to work part-time hours; availability during evenings or weekends is a plus but not required
