What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Staff position at Love In Action Foundation, Inc?
We're looking for full- or part-time individuals who:
- Have experience working with older adults, individuals with disabilities, or individuals with special needs (professional or comparable caregiving experience preferred)
- Have a valid driver's license
- Own a reliable vehicle
- Maintain current automobile insurance
- Are willing and able to transport individuals safely in the community
- Are dependable, responsible, and professional
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Can pass required background checks and meet all applicable employment requirements
Individual Day Supports (IDS)
Responsibilities may include:
- Providing one-on-one support in the community
- Job coaching and vocational skill development
- Assisting individuals with volunteer opportunities and employment
- Promoting socialization and community inclusion
- Transporting individuals to jobs, volunteer sites, appointments, grocery stores, recreational activities, and other community outings
- Encouraging independence while ensuring each individual's safety and well-being
