We’re seeking a compassionate, energetic paraprofessional to join our team! In this role, you’ll work directly with children and adults, providing support in educational, recreational, and community settings. You’ll collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other staff to help participants reach their goals and feel empowered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with classroom activities, small groups, and one-on-one support for students or participants
- Support adults with daily living skills, learning activities, or vocational training as needed
- Help implement lesson plans and behavior management strategies
- Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive environment
- Communicate regularly with supervisors, families, and team members
- Supervise participants during activities, outings, and transitions
- Provide encouragement and model positive social skills
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or relevant coursework preferred
- Experience working with children and/or adults in an educational, recreational, or support setting
- Patience, flexibility, and strong communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a diverse team
- Willingness to learn and follow directions from teachers and supervisors
- Background check required
Preferred Skills:
- Bilingual abilities are a plus
- Experience with special needs populations or diverse backgrounds
