About the Role:
Love Help Care Family Support LLC is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team in Indianapolis, IN. Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility
- Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately
- Transport and accompany clients to appointments, community outings, and activities
- Administer medications and monitor health conditions as directed
- Promote client independence, dignity, and community inclusion
- Communicate effectively with family members, supervisors, and care team members
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Previous experience in direct support, caregiving, or human services preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills
- Compassionate, dependable, and person-centered approach to care
