Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Travel Assignment
Schedule: 8-hour days (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
Duration: 13 weeks
Requirements: Weekend, holiday, and call coverage required
- Must be a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
- Travel experience required
- Orthopedic (Ortho) experience required
- Scrubbing experience required
- Da Vinci robotic surgery experience required
- May be asked to precept new staff
- Completion of a Certified Surgical Tech program preferred, or eligible for NY State LPN license
- Knowledge of cleaning, sterilization, and disinfection of surgical equipment and instrumentation
- BLS certification required
Job Responsibilities:- Work under the direct supervision of an RN in preparing and assisting surgical patients.
- Perform routine and delegated duties according to hospital and departmental standards.
- Carry out technical responsibilities related to scrub duties with precision and efficiency.
- Assist with various departmental tasks as needed.
- Ensure the creation and maintenance of a sterile surgical environment.
- Confirm surgical equipment is functioning properly and safely.
- Assist surgeons throughout operative procedures.
- Must be able to arrive within 30 minutes when called in.
