Seasonal Stock Associate- Retail Stores at Navy Pier

Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Seasonal Associates to join our team during our peak season. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced retail environment and are passionate about providing exceptional customer service. As a Seasonal Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers have a positive shopping experience while assisting with various tasks throughout the store.

We are looking for the best of the best to join our Love From USA stores at Navy Pier in Chicago. Our stores specialize in unique gifts, apparel and souvenirs that promote the states in which we operate.

Responsibilities

• Maximize sales by putting product on store sales floor, damage-free and in a friendly, timely manner
• Ensure product and sales floor is clean and ready for sales
• Maintain a clean and organized store environment, ensuring shelves are stocked and displays are appealing.
• Support inventory management through shipping, receiving, and organizing stock in the stores.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance overall store performance.
• Engage in heavy lifting as required, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
• Work safely and professionally at all times.
• Consistently clean assigned areas of the facility
• Accurate perform weekly markdowns

Work Schedule

• Must be able to work between the hours of 7:30am-12:00pm, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Other hours may be requested.
• Must be available from April-September
• Seasonal stay with us bonus opportunity *details upon hire
• Occasional weekends
• Non-exempt

Requirements

• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• High school degree or equivalent
• Ability to organize and prioritize effectively
• Can work independently or as part of a team
• Prior warehouse experience and familiarity with binning using alpha-numeric location assignments preferred
• Must be able to lift, load and unload 5-70 pounds repetitively
• Previous experience in retail preferred, but not required
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with store duties.
• A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges in a dynamic environment.

Education and Qualifications

• High school degree, diploma, or a GED equivalent qualification from a certified institution.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time (minimum of 4 hours).
