What are the responsibilities and job description for the AI Agent Engineer position at Love Freedom Solution?
Coding Agents | LLM Systems | Runtime Orchestration | Consumer Social AI
Remote, Pacific Time Hours Required
Recruiting Partner: Lovefreedom Solution
Lovefreedom Solution is partnering with a fast-growing consumer social AI startup building what can be described as the TikTok of interactive mini-apps. Sekai is creating a new way for users to turn natural language into playable, shareable digital experiences, powered by a proprietary coding agent.
This is a rare opportunity to join one of the few U.S.-based consumer social startups scaling in the AI era. With 1M monthly active users, strong product-market signal, and $30M raised from a16z, Mayfield, and Khosla, Sekai is entering a major growth phase with a reported $150M post-money valuation and Series A momentum.
As an AI Agent Engineer, you will own and set the technical bar for Sekai’s coding agent, the core engine that transforms user prompts into working interactive mini-apps. This is a high-ownership role for an engineer who has built real agentic systems in production and understands tool use, orchestration, repair loops, evaluation frameworks, and model strategy.
Why This Opportunity Stands Out
Sekai is not building another AI wrapper. The coding agent is the product’s moat.
You will be designing the system that turns natural language into playable experiences for more than 1M monthly active users. This means your work will directly shape how users create, interact, and publish AI-generated mini-apps at scale.
The company is backed by top-tier investors including a16z, Mayfield, and Khosla, and is led by a CEO with deep consumer social experience as a former Director of Product Management at ByteDance. That combination of AI infrastructure, consumer product DNA, and real user traction makes this a rare seat for someone who wants to build at the edge of agentic systems and social creation.
What You Will Do
As an AI Agent Engineer, you will own the architecture and execution of Sekai’s coding agent runtime. You will design how the agent plans, generates, validates, repairs, and publishes interactive mini-apps from natural language prompts.
This is a technical lead-level scope from day one. You will not inherit legacy architecture or sit inside a narrow lane. Sekai has built its own agent framework from scratch, which means you will help define the technical direction, quality standards, evaluation systems, and long-term reliability of the core product engine.
Core Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Qualified candidates should have:
The strongest candidates may also have:
The ideal candidate is an AI-native systems builder.
You have built real agentic systems, not just demos. You understand the difference between something that works once in a prototype and something that can reliably generate, validate, repair, and ship user-facing output at scale.
You think deeply about orchestration, observability, evaluation, failure modes, latency, and quality loops. You are comfortable designing architecture from the ground up and making decisions that become the foundation for the product.
You actively follow the latest agent framework releases, open-source updates, model capabilities, and eval tooling. You are hands-on, product-aware, and excited by the challenge of turning natural language into usable, interactive experiences for a large consumer audience.
Why Candidates Should Be Interested
This role offers rare ownership at the center of a high-growth consumer AI product.
You Will Work On
Compensation
The expected base salary range is:
$150,000 – $250,000 base salary equity
Final compensation may vary based on experience, technical depth, and overall fit.
Right to Represent and Candidate Consent Notice
By applying to this position through Lovefreedom Solution, you acknowledge and provide written consent for Lovefreedom Solution to review your qualifications and represent you in connection with this specific client opportunity.
Your application authorizes Lovefreedom Solution to discuss your background, resume, technical experience, project history, and related application materials with the client solely for the purpose of evaluating your candidacy for this role.
