Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Cultivator to take the reins on our day-to-day cultivation operations and drive consistent, premium-quality yield across a 500 plant facility. This is a pivotal role for a proven leader who can bring precision, initiative, and passion to every stage of the growing process — from irrigation and environmental controls to team leadership — while working closely with, and under the direction of, our established team.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage cultivation activities across all phases of growth — vegetative, flowering, and harvest — with efficiency and precision
- Follow and enforce our established standard operating procedures (SOPs) precisely across all aspects of the indoor growing operation
- Oversee irrigation management systems, ensuring proper watering schedules and nutrient delivery tailored to crop needs
- Monitor and adjust environmental control systems (temperature, humidity, lighting, airflow) to optimize plant health and growth
- Conduct regular crop inspections to identify pests, diseases, or nutrient deficiencies, and manage integrated pest management (IPM) strategies
- Perform and oversee cultivation tasks including pruning, trimming, training, defoliation, and harvesting to a high quality standard
- Maintain accurate records of feeding schedules, environmental data, pest treatments, plant counts, and harvest yields
- Ensure full compliance with state licensing requirements, safety regulations, and company policy at all times
- Direct and delegate tasks to support staff while remaining hands-on in daily grow operations
- Troubleshoot issues with irrigation systems and environmental controls, collaborating with the team as needed
- Identify and drive opportunities to improve yield quality, consistency, and operational efficiency
Qualifications
- 10 years of hands-on cultivation experience required
- Proven experience successfully managing or working within a 500 plant commercial cultivation operation
- Strong working knowledge of irrigation systems, environmental control systems, and crop production techniques
- Ability to follow established SOPs closely and consistently, along with familiarity with plant pest identification and integrated pest management strategies
- Demonstrated leadership ability, with experience managing horticultural teams in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and a genuine commitment to producing premium-quality product
- Strong collaborative skills, with the ability to take direction as well as lead effectively within a close-knit, team-oriented environment
- A positive, enthusiastic attitude and strong interpersonal skills
- High degree of reliability, consistency, and work ethic — someone committed to putting in the work
- Physical ability to perform hands-on cultivation tasks and lift as needed
- Flexibility to accommodate the scheduling demands of active grow cycles
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must pass a background check with no felony record
