Introduction:
Love and Loyalty Homecare is dedicated to providing compassionate and high-quality care for children with intellectual disabilities. We are seeking an experienced and nurturing male caregiver to join our team and support the developmental and daily living needs of our young clients.
As a caregiver, you will be responsible for providing personalized care and support to children with intellectual disabilities. Your role will involve assisting with daily activities, ensuring the children's safety and comfort, and promoting their overall well-being and development.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in caregiving, especially with children with intellectual disabilities, is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of intellectual disabilities and best practices in caregiving.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving, including lifting and assisting with mobility.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with children compassionately.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility.
- CNA,NA, or PCA certification. CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide medication reminders and assist with medication management as needed.
- Help with mobility and transfers, ensuring the children’s safety at all times.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals, taking into account any dietary restrictions.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry, tidying up, and maintaining a clean living environment.
- Offer companionship and engage the children in meaningful activities to stimulate cognitive function and reduce isolation.
- Monitor the children’s health and report any changes or concerns to the family and healthcare team.
- Follow care plans and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals.
