What are the responsibilities and job description for the Daycare head teacher position at LOVE AND LEARNING CHILDCARE?
We are seeking a responsible, caring, and experienced Head Teacher to join our licensed daycare program. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about working with young children and can lead a classroom with confidence, structure, and patience.
- Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support learning and development
- Maintain a structured daily routine (meals, naps, play, learning time)
- Manage classroom behavior in a positive and professional manner
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children’s daily activities and progress
- Ensure compliance with all state licensing regulations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment
- Work independently and take initiative when needed
Requirements:
- Experience working in a daycare or early childhood setting (required)
- CDA OR ASSOCIATE DEGREE (required)
- Knowledge of child development and classroom management
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible
- Ability to handle multiple children in a structured environment
- Must meet state licensing requirements (background check, references, etc.)
- CPR/First Aid certification
Pay: $17.00 per hour
