,Overview
Small, family-owned manufacturing company is seeking a reliable Machine Setup & Production Technician. This role is split approximately 50% machine changeovers/setup and 50% running production.
We are a close-knit shop with five employees and a Monday–Thursday schedule (30 hours per week). This position is best suited for someone who works well in a small team, takes pride in their work, and brings a cooperative, no-ego approach to the job.
Because of our size, flexibility, communication, and a positive attitude are essential.
We are looking for someone long term, and the salary of this position will grow over time. Salary starts at $24 per hour and can increase over-time to $35 per hour. We are somewhat flexible for the right canidate.
Responsibilities
- Perform machine setups and changeovers for production runs
- Run production presses to meet daily production requirements
- Assist with basic troubleshooting, adjustments, and minor repairs
- Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify parts meet specifications
- Inspect finished parts for quality, defects, and dimensional accuracy
- Assist with tooling changes and basic setup documentation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Safely operate hand tools and shop equipment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or factory environment
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Basic math skills for measurements, tolerances, and setup adjustments
- Experience using precision measuring instruments
- Forklift experience a plus (not required)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- Dependable, easy to work with, and adaptable to a small-company environment
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 per week
