Lourdes Senior Community is located in Waterford, Michigan. Since 1965, Lourdes has ministered to seniors and their families. Established by the Dominican Sisters, the Order has followed their ministry to care for the sick and elderly for over 50 years. Faithfully, they have carried out their vision to provide healing, comfort and compassion to those who need it most.
Position Summary: The Licensed Staff Nurse carries out nursing services which include nursing assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
We currently have the following openings:
Days: Full time 7a - 7p ( 1 opening)
Contingent: days and midnights
Part time: days 1 day per week, 2 days per pay period (bi-weekly), 1 week- Monday, 2nd week Friday. (1 opening)
Additional pay:
- Michigan direct care pay of $3.40 per hour
- 5% afternoon shift differential
- 10% midnight shift differential
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Accountable for residents assigned to care and use good clinical judgment.
2. Interpret and comply with Physician Orders and the established policies and procedures of Lourdes, Inc.
3. Responsible for the guidance and direction of all the nursing personnel assigned to the nursing unit; give direct care when indicated.
4. Responsible for the implementation of the Resident bill of rights and HIPAA
5. Maintain documentation of resident care information in compliance with facility and government regulations, such as MDS (Minimum Data Set).
6. Interpret and implement the nursing care plan and update as needed on a daily basis.
Qualifications:
1. Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered or Licensed Nurse in the state of Michigan.
2. Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
3. Most possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, the general public, etc.
4. Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care
5. Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel
Pay: Up to $43.00 per hour
