Job Summary

We are looking for a Human Resources Specialist to join our team and implement various human resources programs. The HR Specialist will have a broad knowledge of human resources functions, including, talent management, to onboarding, and managing day-to-day HR operations. If you have a passion for HR, and look to kickstart your career in the field, this is the place to be. Your role as an HR Specialist will be far from one-dimensional. You’ll undertake a wide range of HR tasks, like assisting with recruiting, screening, and scheduling interviews, onboarding new employees, and maintaining confidential employee records. The goal is to ensure the HR department’s operations will be running smoothly and effectively to deliver maximum value to the organization as a whole.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Answer and respond to various HR-related questions, and provide excellent customer service to staff.
  • Organize and maintain employee electronic and paper files, and manage confidential forms.
  • Serve as backup for Talent Management System for recruitment, and schedule interviews
  • Maintain HR calendar, prepare interview packets, and set up meeting rooms.
  • Process background checks, reference checks, I-9 verifications, assist with the onboarding schedule, and the collection of new hire materials.
  • Process and reconcile HR-related invoices in our accounting system.
  • Assist in promoting HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
  • Assist in the implementation of human resource policies

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of human resources practices
  • Courage to make tough decisions and deliver difficult messages with professionalism and poise.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present his/her point of view in varied business situations.
  • Ability to interface with internal and external customers and senior management.
  • High degree of maturity, credibility, confidentiality, integrity, temperament, and professional ethics.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times, (specifically personnel information).
  • Ability to effectively use Google Suites (Mail, Calendar, Doc, Sheets)
  • Excellent organizational and people skills.
  • Must be bondable, highly motivated, goal-oriented, and task-driven.
  • Ability to work some nights/weekends.
  • A valid driver’s license is required and be willing to use your own automobile.
  • Valid proof of full COVID-19 vaccination, preferable

Education and/or Experience

  • Associate’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Two years in human resources
  • HRIS, a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $42,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
