Database Administrator II
Provides comprehensive technical services of installation, configuration, performance tuning, patching, backup, daily maintenance and administration for all MSD Oracle or SQL Server databases residing on UNIX, Linux and Windows platforms. Designs and implements new databases supporting third-party and in-house applications. Provides technical support and database administration for the SAP, GIS and IPS systems, as well as enterprise spatial geodatabases and MSD custom written databases. Administers the maintenance/management of numerous miscellaneous platforms and operating systems including UNIX, LINUX, and Windows as needed to ensure database efficiency and integrity. May serve as project lead.
Database Administrator III
Provides expert, comprehensive technical services of installation, configuration, performance tuning, patching, backup, daily maintenance, and administration for all MSD Oracle or SQL Server databases residing on UNIX, Linux, and Windows platforms. Directs the design and implementation of new databases supporting third-party and in-house applications. Directs technical support and database administration for the SAP, GIS and IPS systems, as well as enterprise spatial geodatabases and MSD custom written databases. Leads and administers the maintenance/management of numerous miscellaneous platforms and operating systems including UNIX, Linux, and Windows as needed to ensure database efficiency and integrity.
